My Unfinished Music
For every "song" that I finish I probably start 10 or 20 different ones that end up going nowhere. Some of them are still pleasant to listen to, others not so much. Overall, most of these are only a few seconds in duration when all inspiration has suddenly escaped me. Sometimes I come back to them later, but often they just sit in a directory waiting to be deleted, or archived and forgotten about.
Either way, I guess some of these pieces may provide inspiration to others or at least give you an idea of what else my brain comes up with, so here's a few unfinished songs that I decided to publish anyway.
2005 - Run
Run. Created with Reason 3.0. I was browsing around the 'net and stumbled across this page. The "Assignment 4 - Practice 2" file contained 4 notes that this piece is based on. After that I just kept adding instruments to see what happens.
2005 - Guitar
Guitar. Created with Reason 3.0. Tried to find a way of creating more organic sounding music. Guitars are always pretty hard to do. Little imperfections make it sound more realistic. Never really got around to finishing it. Breaking Barriers (1998) is much more detailed — and about 6 years old now.
2005 - House
House. Was dabbling with Reason 3.0, looking for interesting instruments. Came across the "house" bass, and managed little more than coming up with a short rhythmic loop.
2005 - Psycho Church
Psycho Church. Very experimental. I wanted to create something 'churchy', but it took off in a completely different direction. Hence the title.
