Events are Live!

Posted on December 11, 2006

So glad. There were a number of smaller features that I had been chiseling away at. For instance, if you look at a snapshot, you can see other snapshots that are nearby. In addition to that, you can now also see which direction they're in (e.g. north west, south, etc.).
The new blog crossposting setup is implemented. You can now set up multiple accounts to crosspost to. Right now it's still pretty much just WordPress, but that covers a fair amount of users. Other blog types are in the works.
And the big new feature is Events! With this feature, you can create more flexible events than with the built-in Second Life ones. Events can span multiple days, so events like Burning Man, SLCC, and other larger events can be captured. There will be more changes coming to that in the future that will allow for some really neat features. Enjoy!

Corrections to SLStats Banner

Posted on December 2, 2006

The SL Stats banner is getting quite popular. And as some of you may have noticed, the "Last 7 days" display was not quite accurate. It would on occasion put the stats bar with the wrong day of the week. Most common occurance was when someone wasn't in Second Life for a day, and it wouldn't have any stats available for that particular day.

That required a small fix and has been corrected now. Also, if you want to include your slstats banner on your personal web site or wherever, feel free to use it. The URL is normally http://stats.slbuzz.com/your-name.png. While that may seem like a static file, it's dynamically generated (and cached for a period of time). Instead of .png, you can also use .gif or .jpeg to have it generate the banner in those particular formats.

More on this weekend's updates later. :-) Enjoy!
